Our new meeting site is The Audubon Center at Debs Park.

We meet the first Saturday of the month at 10am. There is no charge. The public is invited.

Our speaker for October is Kamelia Algiers.

She will speak on her field research in Hawthorne, Nevada, at the Army Depot. She will discuss the diversity of lizards found in the Army Depot, as well as common behavior displays linked to breeding coloration. She will also discuss some obstacles in doing field research.

Research is key to understanding how to protect Earth's biodiversity by conserving habitat and environmental quality for all species.

Ms. Algiers received her BA and MS in Biology at CSUN and work as a Full-Time Professor at Ventura College.
